Collection: Gold Panning Bucket Kits

A bucket is one of the most useful pieces of gear a prospector owns: it hauls your dirt, doubles as a wash station and a seat, and gives you somewhere to classify material into. This collection brings together ASR Outdoor's bucket gold panning kits, complete setups packed around a 3.5 or 5 gallon bucket with a folding or mini sluice box, gold pans, classifiers, and even real Bobby Bo paydirt, alongside the buckets themselves. Choose a heavy duty bucket, a space-saving 10L collapsible silicone bucket, or a bucket and stand built for classifying. Pick your kit or bucket below.

Gold Panning Bucket Kits & Buckets: A Buyer's Guide

What is a bucket gold panning kit?

It is a complete gold panning kit built around a bucket. The bucket is not just storage, it hauls material to and from the creek, doubles as a wash tub and a seat, and gives you somewhere to classify dirt into. The rest of the kit, the pan, sluice, and recovery tools, packs right inside it.

What size bucket do I need, and what are the collapsible ones for?

A 5 gallon bucket is the classic all-purpose choice for moving and washing material, while a 3.5 gallon bucket is a bit lighter to carry. If you hike to your spot or travel, a 10L collapsible silicone bucket folds nearly flat and pops open at the water. We also stock a bucket and stand set that holds your classifier at a comfortable working height.

What comes in a bucket kit?

Most of our bucket kits include a folding or mini sluice box, one or more gold pans, classifier screens, and fine-gold recovery tools, all paired with a bucket. Several also come with real Bobby Bo paydirt so you have something to work the day it arrives.

Bucket kit or backpack kit, which should I get?

Choose a bucket kit if you tend to work one spot and process volume, the bucket makes hauling and classifying material easy. Choose a portable backpack kit if you hike to remote water and need the whole setup to fold into a 30L pack. If you just want the essentials, see our standard gold panning kits.

Why use a bucket for gold panning?

A bucket lets you carry more pay dirt in one trip, classify straight into it through a stackable screen, and keep your concentrates in one place. It is the cheapest piece of gear that makes a full day on the creek more productive, which is why so many complete kits are built around one.
