What is gold paydirt?

Gold paydirt is dirt or concentrate that contains real gold, bagged so you can pan it at home or anywhere you have water. Instead of digging and hauling material from a creek, you start with dirt that is already known to hold gold, which makes it the fastest way to get panning and a great way to practice your technique.

Is the gold in paydirt real and guaranteed?

Yes. Our paydirt is genuine Bobby Bo concentrate with guaranteed gold in every bag, so there is always color to find. It is the same gold you would recover in the field, just concentrated into a bag you can work whenever you like.

Classified vs. unclassified paydirt, what is the difference?

Classified paydirt has been screened to a uniform size and is ready to pan straight away. Unclassified paydirt is raw, so you sift it through a classifier first, just like real dirt from the creek, for a more authentic dig. We also carry advanced concentrate bags with a higher gold content for an easier find.

Which paydirt bag size should I buy?

Bags run from a 3oz sampler up to a 10lb haul. If you are new or buying a gift, start small to learn the process; if you want a longer session or to split it among friends, step up to a 3lb or 10lb bag.

Do I need tools, or does the kit include them?
