The gold pan, which in situations like this is often the more expensive part of a panning kit, worked extremely well. The size is perfect, the biggest pan doesn’t catch them all. This pan is durable and sleek in a color of green that allows the eyes to recognize gold with ease. The only parts of this kit I am unhappy with are the snifter bottle, and tweezers. The tweezers were oddly blunted, which may work well for some large nugget sniping, in my area we’ve got small flakes and loads of flour gold to extract and it was not exactly convenient to try and grab gold. The bottle is very leaky and the nice logo wiped off on day one.If you’re looking to test equipment, or brush up on skills, the pay dirt is the best part, it gives you that rush and shows you how dialed your personal recovery system is.Overall I think if the tools conned above were a little more quality, this would be an easy five star snag!
This was surprising, just got into the hobby and learning a lot as I go. These flakes were found and only about half the dirt through... Highly recommend.

We received the play dirt in place of the “missing” one. Thank you for making my son very happy!
Great starter
The pan is good, the other tools aren’t high end or anything. The pay dirt is very small, but that being said, we did find some gold.
Showed up like pictured and functions
First shipment came in busted all open and half gone. Contacted them and they returned and replace item without issue. Wasn't but .2 gold in the whole bag but paydirt wast like they went to beach and shoveled it I into bags or they was getting it from the tailing of already crushed ore that was sluiced already then sp ty inkled in .2 gold fly poop specs.
This was actually a solid buy, the pan IS small but that makes it more portable and the double riffles are great. The paydirt exceeded my expectations a LOT there was REAL gold in the bag, not just mica or pyrite and except for the first 1/6 of the bag there was gold in every scoop, larger than flour size and able to be picked up with a tweezers I’m debating on buying another just for the dirt
Cool beans
Ok this was awesome! My son I Had a great time! Forget about the value of gold. We just enjoy the process. Thanks to the folks behind the scenes. No promotions here! You really made our day! Thank You!
Fine except the snuffer bottle was faulty with a hole
Nice kit. Ordered the black pan. I even was able to pull some gold from the paydirt included. Was fun for a beginner. Might make a fun gift for someone. Overall I’d say it was a good value & I may purchase as some Christmas gifts.
Exactly as described;.Gift for my 7-year old grandsonHe was very excited about the gold
Its ok. The sniffer bottle really sucks I have another one that works. The pay dirt is ok. Some small gold in it. The pan is, well its a pan and does what it is supposed to do. Nice little scoop the magnifying glass and tweezers suck
This item was delivered quickly and really a great value, even a small amount of sand to pan out, gets you fired up seeing the color before hitting the hills!
I’ve been panning gold for years, I have also recently moved away from my favorite places, but I found out that there is a bike path very near my new home and it crosses the grand river as well as 2 other creeks that look very promising for next summer. In the meantime I’ll keep in practice by buying pay dirt and practice getting the small stuff
GREAT VALUE!!! Fun for the whole family. I had a small issue with my order and the seller offered an amazing resolution. I will definitely buy again.
items that were missing from my order were promptly shipped to me.All is great!Thank you!
Gave this as a retirement gift to a friend. They loved it and they are someone who has always wanted to try gold panning when they are in CO. Great gift, very useable, good quality for the money. Highly recommened.
Lots of small floats in the bag. Use it multiple times to learn to get smalls to go to bottom
I’ve used this kit now a couple times and I’m very happy with it. The pan has deep riffles that help with learning to pan. I got the one pound pay dirt bag set. There was a sticker on the bag that covered up the word “advanced” so it’s definitely not meant for beginners but I still got .15 gold from it after panning it three times. I’m still finding flour gold in it every time I go through it. All in all, it’s a solid purchase and I’m happy with it. Highly recommend!
Not pre seasoned and that took awhile to do but over all satisfied with it. Nice kit. Don't expect much out of the pay dirt they send you. If I had thought about it I would have gotten a 12 inch pan. That would have been easier to season and to use.
The payload had gold and even an amateur like me was able to extract almost all of it. I don't know if it's my inexperience but the snuffer bottle didn't do much for me.
It's my first time panning. The package came on time and looked ship shape. I bought this kit to show a class of kids. I found it easy to use and a good value for someone just starting. This would make an EXCELLENT gift for a hands-on kid - definitely one of those gifts that is long lasting. Patience is required, I'd say 8yrs and up.I found just flakes in my batch, but it was still a great experience.A word to the wise, brake the water surface with soap, gold flakes FLOAT - WHAT! - yes, I can testify now--gold floats.Going through the bag of pay dirt was a blast, I hardly noticed but the time passed really quickly. 2 hours later I realized, oops, dinner. For what I paid, I am very happy...and also hooked!
I got a few of these kits for the kids in my family. They are looking to try new things and seek out the interests. It’s not something they can find on a tablet or gaming controller. These kits are inexpensive and complete for a person looking to try it out. Especially if they don’t have a place to go on their own in nature. The gold was a big hit and they’re asking for more. I guess we all want more gold now don’t we.
