Solid Titanium Ice Pick, 9.25"

Sharper than comics wit! This thing is deadly awesome but it NEEDS a durable sheath. Either something practical in kydex or comfortable in leather. Excellent for discreet ice picking where minimal bulk is required.

I didn’t need this, but the reviews convinced me I wanted it. And I don’t regret it for one moment. I carry it around (with the little rubber tip) as a really wicked cool wand when I dress witchy. I’m certain it has many practical uses I’ll appreciate some day also.It’s just super cool.

It took some time to receive however arrived in perfect condition. After all, the business is located in Bellingham Washington and I live in Northern lower Michigan. I’ve been to Bellingham. Nice little town very similar to Traverse City, Mi.Mount Baker is worth the trip! Use studs or chains and take the ice pick with you. Lol.Pick will last many lifetimes if not abused.

This is a very nicely machined piece, but I didn't think it was Titanium... So I measured the density using Archimedes' principle, and it's spot on for Titanium. It is also non-magnetic. No corrosion while I have owned it.Conclusion: It seems to be genuine Titanium.

It's awesome. I hope i get the second one i ordered. It's a no show so far.

Worth every penny! Freezer ice cube basket contents stuck together? A few low-effort jabs with the solid Titanium Ice Pick and release the ice cubes instantly. My freezer’s automatic ice machine stopped producing – no worries, one poke and the mechanism’s function was restored. This device is truly magic. Two enthusiastic thumbs up!

OK, I know what you are all going to be thinking but you'll be wrong! I ordered one (1) of these Titanium Ice Picks a couple of years ago and much to my surprise 12 (one dozen) of them arrived in my mailbox. They were all neatly bound together with a couple of large rubber bands and wrapped well in what looked to me like the old butcher paper you used to see. Well, being the good Christian that I try to be I told myself "Wow, this is so cool, and began to make plans for a new dart game or some such thing?"I must admit that I had serious thoughts about keeping all of them, but my good conscience got the better of me, and I called Amazon's Customer Service and confessed this ill-fated temptation and ended up returning all but one, which I paid the full price. I felt better, and what the heck was I going to do with eleven more?Obviously, these wicked little guys (they're not really that little), but rather 9 1/4" long and seem to be indestructible! I have one of those new LG Refrigerators that turns out ice (into two pans) like a large hotel server! I haven't attempted to hammer one into a brick or concrete block, but have no doubt that it would do just that without a scratch. Get one (and maybe you, too, will end up with 11 additional ones)! Seriously, this is an implement that will definitely last a lifetime, and since I'll! be 81 next month, it will be necessary to add it to my Will.D.O'D.

I sometimes miss the sizes of items when I order them. I didn't notice that it was only a foot long instead of the four foot long that I was thinking. It is titanium, a foot long ice pick.

No sheath but a plastic tip protector that will eventually get lost I’m sure. If you look around you can probably find a sheath that would work. Should you lose the tip protector a piece of tape would do. If properly deployed the tape would not be a hinderence.

$45 dollars for an ice pick...there are ones here for $10...why would I pay that much?This thing is a work of art. First of all it has a LONGER usable length than that cheap garbage. Think how deep your refrigerator ice maker is. This can get WAY down there. It feels GREAT in the hand too. It is SOLID, literally, and I cannot imagine a scenario that this breaks (I will be testing this, as I consider this a multi-tool now). You won't regret it.I paid full price for this and was not compensated in any way for this endorsement.

I immediately ripped it out of the package and dropped it on my foot in my yard. Ouch. Pulled it out and limped in. Tossed it on the counter and it slid off and got the chihuahua. He didn’t appreciate it. I found the safety tip and put it on. Everyone is fine. This thing is awesome.

Another review said “You don’t need this….” But then went on to say how you should get it! Well… I can’t even tell you why, but yes… If you’re looking at this…. Yes… buy it…. It’s the perfect size. It’s not too heavy, but is heavy enough… and the finish is beautiful. Do I chop a lot of ice? No… but I’m glad I have this. Get it.

OK, so I'm a sucker for all things titanium. Who needs an ice pick these days, anyway? Ice generally either comes in cubes or as crushed, not a block as it often did when I was a kid in the 1950s. But this seems long enough to hold easily, sharp enough to do the job, and sturdy enougth to last. I basically use it as a dibble when planting seeds. Nice of it to come with a plastic cap for the sharp end.

You don't need this. You don't need anything this ridiculously pointy or shiny or titani-tastic. Nobody does. But since I bought it, I've found it super useful for pushing/spreading holes through fabric without breaking the threads. It's that pointy.It's a shiny grey metal stick about the length and twice the diameter of a knitting needle, featherweight and titanium-licious. I have no idea what you'd use this for. Neither do you, and that's not going to stop you from buying it. Just accept it.

when i bought this i had bought 2 thinking that they both would be the same size and tapered and so forth as of what the pictured showed... 1st one was exactly as of what i wanted... the 2nd one was not only smaller in thickness by nearly 1/2, or it might of been a 1/3 not sure i don't have that type of equipment to measure stuff with... was also not tapered appropriately for what you would use it for like it was more like a blunt item that your trying to stab with... since then i have used a file to taper it more and have gotten it to within a better tapered status.

I am an element collector -- I helped to make the periodictable site -- and after having all the stable elements, my favorites were hafnium, cesium (which is only safe under glass), tungsten, and titanium.I collect titanium items, I have some of these: pens, rings, plates, dishes, cups, pots, cutlery, and a crowbar (used by divers). There's really not too much in the way of exquisitely crafted titanium items to collect.This icepick is a work of art. It's my new favorite titanium item. This thing will still be around somewhere 200 years from now. It works very well as an icepick, as well.
