The braided Technora cord features a protective PTFE coating that enhances real world performance by providing smoother handling, greater abrasion resistance, and added protection against UV exposure, chemicals, and harsh outdoor environments. This specialized coating helps the cord maintain long term durability and reliable performance in demanding field conditions, whether used for shelter tie outs, emergency preparedness, bushcraft or utility applications. While the PTFE coating does not increase the cord’s core tensile strength, it helps protect and preserve the strength and performance of the Technora fibers over time.
