9 Inch Aircraft Grade Aluminum Camping Stakes Tent Pegs

I reduced one star on my rating since my order did not come with the promised mesh bag with drawstring closure as indicated in the item description. I would have dropped 2 stars but the pegs themselves are good.Any help on that?The pegs are in fact 9 inches length. My old nail spikes are 10 inch but these hold as well. My front yard is rather firm ground and I was easily able to tap these in all the way at between 45-60 deg angle. I left 1.5 inches exposed above the dirt as is correctly done. I can also easily pull them out with the cord on the end by very slightly wiggling them first and then they slide out with a slow but steady pull. I tapped them in with a standard steel hammer. BUT, the one mistake made by a great many who are critical of these Y shaped stakes is that they hammer on them HARD to put them in as if they are trying to sink them in one or two blows. That is exactly why those idiots will bend any stake. I've bent my steel nail stakes by hitting them too hard when I was first learning about camping and proper tent setup. I learned. You DON'T hammer hard on any stake if you want it to last. These will sink into almost any ground with many firm taps with no issue whatever. I'm sure that at some point I'll camp someplace with rocky hard soil and these may have more of a problem being tapped in.I would expect no different from my old steel nail spikes. I don't believe I will have any issues with these. I bought 7 inch stakes for the corners of the tent and the tie-outs at the base of the tent (I have a Nemo Switch 2P) and will use these 9 inch stakes to secure the extra guy-out lines from the upper corners of the tent as well as to hold the guy lines for the poles holding up the canopy part of the tent since that will need more holding power than 7 inch stakes can provide (experience talking there).I learned recently that the best way to orient this shape of stake is to set it in the ground with the single cord notch toward the tent so that both the solid sides of the Y are away from the tent. This will hold best in any ground. This type of stake works best when the tent has cord to stake out rather than a flat strap. Make a loop with the cord so that it encircles the stake with the loop into the notch and the cord wraps around the stake once. This will hold very solid in any weather condition. As the cord pulls harder the loop tightens the cord on the stake preventing it from coming off.Now, about that mesh bag to stow these in... Any possibility that will be sent separately since it was, after all, promised in the description. (these 9 inch stakes simply will not fit in the 7 inch stake bag being too long for that bag).Edit: contacted the seller and they sent me the stake bag right away. It looks to be a good bag. Mesh only on most of the front and solid on the back side and also part way up from the bottom on front to reinforce for the stake points. Upgraded my rating to 5 stars.
