Lost mine so this is a replacement. Exactly what I wanted for metal detecting
I've taken this on vacation in my backpack to several Caribbean islands and it's worked out great. With my metal detector disassembled and stashed in my carry-on the sand scoop in my backpack I'm ready to go for after hours beachcoming. It's durable and travels well. You should buy this especially if you're thinking of going on vacation and bringing your rig with you.
Found this worked great when beach combing around areas that are especially dense with shells and temporarily eroded banks, and inlets into marsh areas. Even with the generous amount of holes, it can still clog with wet sand when overloaded, but that's more of an issue with impatience than the product itself.Solid, sturdy construction, even with it being made from plastic. I've given it a fair amount of abuse, and it hasn't chipped or broken.
I took it to Galveston last week. FOund lots of metal trash and coins. It's made for that kind of niche thing, and its built quite well for it. Saves you from dropping the target and losing it in the sand.
